SMS Unread Count is a home widget for showing unread count of SMS messages over the Messaging icon. This is not a messaging app.

Q. I don't see the program icon in the launcher. How to run the program?

A. This is a home widget. Long press on any empty space on your homescreen then choose Widgets, SMS Unread Count.

Q. I keep getting forced close and it erases all my messages.

A. Please email me the log. Any information is appreciated.

Q. How can I set it to launch my favourite messaging program?
A. It launches the default messaging app. If it doesn't launch the app you want, you have to clear that app from being a default messaging app. To clear an app from being the default, go to Settings -> Applications -> Manage applications -> Messaging -> Clear defaults. It will ask for which app to launch next time.

Q. How can I change the widget icons?

A. Connect your phone to a PC and enable USB storage mode or using any file manager on your phone. Creating a directory called "\data\com.kanokgems.smswidget" on the sdcard. Put any icons you want to use in that directory. Icons should be 48x48 in size and are png format. For the Droid, icons size should be 72x72.

Q. There are two notification messages on the notification bar even after uninstalling the program. How can I remove that?
A. This program doesn't do any notifications. Please check if you have "Missed Call" or other programs installed.

Q. When will there be a widget for Gmail?
A. Coming soon.
